Lately I've been feeling a urge/need to find a way to utilise my decades of study into some practical function to more actively help others instead of my old passive techniques. I am yet to find a way to do this that can fit into the modern framework, I do not like the idea of calling things by other names for example calling Meditation Mindfulness as it is Meditation, Mindfulness by definition means to pay attention. This is not the nature of Meditation that goes infinitely deeper than just paying attention.
Anyway, back on topic, purpose, how does one find a fitting way to apply the purpose to help others and the world to improve and evolve? Some times a simple few words to a person at the right moment can drastically change their lives, the words have the power. But are there other ways to do the work while allowing the outside world not to notice it at all??? Tikun Olam - To heal the World, through words and deeds.

Notes on the Kabbalah
In the early 90's when I was still running "The Board Of Oblivion" BBS I managed to get a copy of some notes on the Kabbalah sent to me on a floppy disk from the UK.
The author of that document Colin Low now has a website with updated and additional information:

15DEC2015
I guess that did not work as well as I had hoped.
In 2010 I had to leave the UK and spent five years away from my wife and children while I kept employment and seeking a way home.
During my time away, I was able to act as Bagram Air base's unofficial Jewish Lay Leader, which was quite enlightening.
My spiritual journey seems to have come to a point where I feel a sort of completion with it, a balance. Now in that I still feel that there is much more I can do, however, I know that would cause me to have to put in a level of commitment I cannot put into this journey at this point and still be able to provide for my family.
Meanwhile, as that my wife Jenny has been playing guitar from the age of 15, and I have always loved music and wanted to connect to a good and versatile instrument I have started guitar lessons, I am really enjoying it.
I now have two girls and a step son. (If I had not mentioned this in my ramblings.) Making the world a magical place full of wonder for them is so rewarding. Seeing the wonder in their eyes at things that I have come to see as mundane sparks a feeling of rejuvenation.
Well I will close this for now, I have no idea when or if I will continue writing on this, but hey...

The Continuation
29 Nov 2011
It has been many years since my last update to this journal. I think it is time to continue it.
Many of my before mentioned view points have now evolved, however, many of my root beliefs still remain strong and have grown and too evolved.
I will continue to explain this the best I can over the next few posts the best I can.

New Steps
It has been some time sense my last entry. I have now found that I am geneticly Jewish on my fathers side. This has lit a fire in me to know more of what it truely means to be jewish. I have began to study deeper and have realised that there is no way to move forward then to follow the halachah the laws of being Jewish. I have so many secular commitments which makes this very difficult, not to mention my family which is my life, however, I know the more that I have studied the more i see that I am already Jewish fully, with or without community which I long for someone to share this with, the reform movement does not fill this right, only orthadox. I have to show those close to me that this is real and not insanity or mumbo-jumbo, the realizations I have come to can only be reached by self discovery not by someone telling you. The saying is true, do then know. With doing you gain the knowledge and understanding. I have to keep strong in my faith and family together and pray that this pulls together given time and a loving touch. I am persistant and will not give up, it means everything. The the secular world feels forgien to me and no longer right as once it did in the knowledge I have gained in my studies, and once you know you cannot unknow or undo to return to the truely secular world as you once were it changes your world totaly and adds a degree of calm contentment that I had never known before. The truth does set you free and the more truth you except the more it frees you, its amazing in the least. It is not easy, no it is the hardest thing I have ever done, but in that it is the most rewarding, even facing the ridicule is nothing compaired to the peace it brings to your life.
